OK Moongleam going by that logic Alpha shouldn't be selling The Pride of Jesse Hallam (1981) then. It wasn't registered but has a valid copyright notice. Exact same situation with The Good Guys. Explain that one and the other movies that Alpha sells with the same situation. What's the difference?

Explain that one genius. I would probably guess the Johnny Cash film has even more problems with it considering Johnny Cash probably sings some copyrighted songs in it.

Alpha sells lots of copyrighted videos they have licensed. This link for the movie you're asking about also advertises "Annie," "10,000 Maniacs" and "100 Rifles" for sale, and all of them are under copyright.

I highly doubt it was licensed. Do you have scan of the back cover? I know for a face that Alpha would definitely write on the back of the cover where they licensed it from. (if they did which I'm almost 99.9% sure they didn't) They are just selling it as PD because it was never registered with USCO.

Anyone own this DVD so they can prove I'm right? :)
